Tim is a former U.S. TV journalist turned science communicator. Tim was on the ACEMS team that created The Random Sample and has been the main editorial and technical person behind the podcast since then. He is now the Senior Project Officer for the ADSN and the QUT Centre for Data Science. He is passionate about science communication, encouraging researchers to build their profiles through media, social media, podcasts, and public speaking, and works with them on improving their skills in these areas. Tim has also led several initiatives in his science communication roles to highlight the importance of gender equity in STEM. Prior to moving to Australia, he served as Executive News Producer for the FOX TV Affiliate in Phoenix, Arizona, USA.
