Cynthia is an economist, data scientist and PhD Candidate in the department of Econometrics and Business Statistics at Monash University. Currently, she is working on combining satellite radar data with machine learning and statistical modelling for flood monitoring. Prior to beginning her PhD, she studied and tutored economics at the University of Melbourne, and learnt to code by curating datasets for empirical economists.
